Website and portal terms
Last reviewed: September 2026. These terms cover the plantguard.ai website and the customer portal on it. The PlantGuard.ai software is licensed separately under the license or evaluation agreement between your organization and PlantGuard ("we"); where that agreement and these terms differ, the signed agreement governs the software.
1. Using the website
You may browse the public pages freely. You agree not to interfere with the operation of the site, probe or attack it, scrape it in bulk, or submit forms in an automated or abusive way. Good-faith security research within our disclosure policy is welcome.
2. Portal accounts
The customer portal is provided to organizations that hold a PlantGuard.ai license or an evaluation agreement. Accounts are created by invitation, are personal to the named individual and must not be shared. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account; tell support@plantguard.ai at once if you believe it has been compromised. Your organization's administrator may ask us to deactivate accounts of people who have left.
3. Downloads and license files
Installer packages, update packages and license files obtained through the portal are provided only for use by the organization they were issued to, under its agreement with us. They may not be redistributed, resold, published or made available to any other organization. Update entitlement follows the maintenance term shown in the portal; packages released after that term ends are not available for download.
4. Evaluation and pilot software
Software provided for a pilot or evaluation is for internal evaluation by the receiving organization only, for the period and scope set out in the evaluation agreement. Evaluation licenses are time-limited by design. Feedback you choose to give us about the software may be used to improve it.
5. Intellectual property
PlantGuard.ai, the software, its documentation, this website and the PlantGuard name and mark are owned by us or our licensors. Nothing in these terms or in your use of the site transfers any ownership to you. Third-party open-source components in the software are used under their own licenses; the list of components and licenses is available to licensed and evaluating organizations on request.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the website or portal to attack, disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service, other users' accounts or data, or to obtain software or license files your organization is not entitled to; to upload malicious content; or to misrepresent who you are or which organization you act for.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account, or block access to the site, where these terms are breached, where the associated license or evaluation agreement has ended, or where necessary to protect the service or other customers. Where practical we will tell the organization's administrator first. Ending access to the portal does not by itself end the organization's software license, which is governed by its agreement.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site and portal available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access; we may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the site for maintenance or improvement. Committed service levels, if any, are those in your signed agreement.
9. Warranty and liability for the website
The website and portal are provided as they are and as available. Warranties and remedies for the software are set out exclusively in your license or evaluation agreement. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the website or portal, other than liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Privacy
How we handle information collected through the site is described in the privacy notice, which forms part of these terms.
11. Governing law
The law and forum that apply to these website terms are those stated in your organization's agreement with us; for visitors without an agreement, the law of the jurisdiction in which we are established applies, to the extent local consumer or mandatory law does not provide otherwise.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the review date above changes when we do. Continued use of the portal after a change constitutes acceptance for portal users; material changes are announced in the portal.
